I made some modifications to the overall look of the site tonight. This is by no means a finished thing. But instead of waiting until I work out all the things I want to work out (in other words, forever) I decided to just make changes as I go. Who really cares besides me, right? […]

Firefox is DONE, Firefox is OVER, Firefox Will Be Deleted From My Mac
Sun, November 28 2004 @ 1:20 am - 3 years, 11 months ago
The sad thing is, it works fine on my G5 at work. But I can’t take it. I’ve wasted more time on installing Firefox on my Mac at home than any other program I’ve ever installed. Today my main gripes are these: If I type a single quote (’), the Find dialog box pops up. […]
The Ol’ “72 Save n’ Close”
Sun, November 28 2004 @ 1:13 am - 3 years, 11 months ago
Apparently, at one time, I needed a Photoshop action to size a document down to 72dpi, save it and close it. I assigned the ‘F1′ key to this. While brushing around in my 300dpi document, I’ll just bet I wanted to set the brush to 10% opacity. I usually hit the ‘1′ key for this. […]

Happy Friggin’ Thanksgiving. I’m thankful for Photoflop.

I want to tear the soul out of something right now. I want to render something completely useless. I want to destroy without reason, as Photoshop just did to me. I just spent many, many hours on a Photoshop layout. Many hours. Photoshop crashed and I lost my work.
“Well, you should save your work as […]

Firefox Doesn’t Work on My Mac
Wed, November 24 2004 @ 12:51 am - 3 years, 12 months ago
Because writing Wordpress blog entries in Safari is like vacationing in the ninth circle of Hell, I’d like to be able to use a browser in which the quicktags work correctly, a letter shows up when I type it (not a second later), and the font sizes are legible. I know this is the case […]
The new rating circles are *much* nicer. Too bad you’re wrong about Bubba Ho-Tep though
I thought it was fun unique and, in a very strange way, charming.

Looks nice! I really like the stained edge on the right in addition to the shadow just before the sidebar. I’m guessing your header and nav fonts are going to change styles next (?).

Jack, I think the fight scenes were ridiculous. I don’t know, maybe I just didn’t get it. I’m usually all in for kitsch or schlock, but this one left me a little cold. They DID do a good job of explaining how a mummy would have ended up there.
Kevin - Thanks for your comments. I have a whole photoshop file loaded with changes and alterations and a CSS file to go with it. But with all the work going on for this year’s Coaster - I’m spent by the time I get home. So things are moving sloooow. But you’re right - there are going to be multiple header images, different fonts all over, and a much clearer way to read comments. Um, provided there are any comments.

Ryan, have you looked up Maxathon at all? It has some nice features. Gestures for instance let you navigate without clickly those pesky buttons. It sounded pretty stupid to me at first but now it’s sort of ingrained in my computer skills.
Also music:
Mirah - “Cold Cold Water,” “Sweepstakes Prize” and “Pollen”
Garden State soundtrack (not to mention movie)
And a Cat Power cover of the song “Wonderwall” by Oasis (if you can’t find it I can send it to you)
