Finally Got My Monkey Back

Took a while longer to port my monkey thang into a Wordpress 1.5 theme than I thought it might. The biggest issue (for me, because I think they’re just so freaking cool) is that the drop-down comments broke. I looked through the Wordpress forums, pored over scriptygoddess.com, and came up empty. Anyway, to make a long story short, I got drop-down comments working in 1.5, and this time I think they’re better.

For example, if you’re the first person to respond to a post, you don’t get bumped over to a permalinkamajig page, or whatever they call it. The comments area just drops down, and you get a form right there, so every precious thought you brewed up while reading my drivel can quickly flow straight from your noggin and out through your fingertips and into the ether with a minimum of fuss. Hey, I’m just trying to make things easier for you.

Good stuff, Ryan… I have to say, it’s good to see the ol’ monkey genius again. ;)

    And this comments dropdown! Sweet!

I know you’re just checking the usability of the comments dropdown, man! Looks like it works, eh? Now to put in some content worth commenting on…

They are still a little broken tho, at least in firefox, you need to make your text box a little smaller.. it overlaps your beautiful design!

Thanks for pointing that out Christopher. Widths were set to a percentage, which wasn’t playing nice with FireFox. Interesting site, by the way. I dig Miss Milano as well.
