   I agree 180%, am glad I am not the only one. We get it, accessible, compliant and semantically correct sites are cool, but keep it in your pants. What is cool in nerdville is often just annoying to the rest of the world. I am a resident of nerdville as well, and still find it annoying.

   Since I’m married, my twitter consists of calling my wife and asking “how are you, where are you at and what are we doing tonight.” Seems that I’ve been using old-school-twitter for many years now.

   I like going to various design oriented sites in order to get some inspiration and I found this site:

   “My house is on the national Do Not Call list. Are these slimy, annoying, mud-slinging calls exempt from that?” Basically upset with the automated calls from Republicans just before elections…

   In actuality, according to the FTC’s Facts for Consumers page:

   “Will the National Do Not Call Registry cover all telemarketing calls?
   Placing your number on the National Do Not Call Registry will stop most telemarketing calls, but not all. Calls from or on behalf of political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors are still be permitted.”

   Not to be rude, but you know Word is the standard for just about any professional document, right? And you can just as easily use StarOffice or OpenOffice if you need to read a Word doc but don’t feel like getting your morals dirty.

   Eric - My point is, if you are sending a few lines of text via email, why do you even need to crack open a word processing program? I don’t care what program it is. I’ve had people send me things unnecessarily put in Open Office documents as well.

   Just seems like a little extra waste of time and effort. I supposed if they’re paying me to waste time and open the thing, hey…I shouldn’t be complaining, right?
